# Researcher Deep Dive

Researcher learners develop the transferable skill of **decomposing unfamiliar
Web3 systems**: reconstructing how a system works, measuring it with evidence,
and making a defensible claim about its risks and behaviour.

This is cross-domain Web3 systems research, not a DeFi-only track. Bitcoin,
rollups, Uniswap, lending and other protocols are training cases that support
methods learners can later apply to NFTs, stablecoins, RWA, prediction markets,
DePIN, AI × Web3, infrastructure, governance or future domains.

Once selected at the end of Week 4, Researcher remains the learner's Academy
path through W8. The application domain, research question and eventual Proof of
Work can still evolve until W7.

Each week contains six Part tasks. Every Part task is worth **100 points** and
is assessed by completion and understanding, with revision when the work is
incomplete or materially incorrect.
